It’s July 4th weekend! A lot of people are going to be getting out of town, taking that summer road trip or just heading to the coast to get their toes in the sand. However, if you’re staying put, there’s plenty going on in the City Beautiful. Toyota of Orlando has the scoop on different 4th of July events taking place in Central Florida, so you can celebrate all weekend long! Check out some of our top picks!

Fireworks at the Fountain: If you’re a fan of Lake Eola, check out Fireworks at the Fountain on Tuesday, July 4th in downtown Orlando. The event kicks off at 4pm and there’s no admission; set up a blanket and claim a spot early to get the best seats for fireworks over the fountain, which begin at 9:30pm. However, in the meantime you can have a picnic, check out one of the many restaurants and bars surrounding the lake, or even go for a swan boat ride. You can even bring your four-legged friends – just keep them leashed!
Red Hot and Boom: Celebrate with musical celebs at the Red Hot and Boom 4th of July event at Crane’s Roost Park in Altamonte! The event starts at 4pm on Monday, July 3 and fireworks will start shooting off at 9:30pm; in between, you’ll be able to watch performances from Drey-C, Why Don’t We, Austin Mahone, Hey Violet, James Arthur, and AJR. On top of that, there will be food and drink vendors. Check out the rules before you head to Crane’s Roost and don’t forget – you can bring a canopy if you need a way to get out of the sun!
Baldwin Park Independence Day Bash: Visit Baldwin Park Village Center and check out an incredible choreographed fireworks show over Lake Baldwin on Tuesday, July 4 – festivities begin at 6pm and go until 11pm. There will be food trucks, vendors, a biergarten, facepainting, a DJ and live music, and more for you to explore before you the fireworks begin at 9:15pm. Admission is free, and pets are welcome!
Watermelon 5K: Ready to run? Hit the pavement for the Watermelon 5K in Winter Park on Tuesday, July 4. You should be at the starting line on Park Avenue by 7am and have $30 for the registration fee; the race takes place through the streets of Winter Park and there’s a watermelon eating contest and a free Kid’s Fun Run after the race finishes!
Coke Zero 400: If you want a little excitement for your Independence Day, head out to the Daytona International Speedway on July for the Coke Zero 400. This 400-mile race will feature fast cars, a pre-race performance from Tyler Farr, and the largest fireworks show in the Southeast. Admission varies, so call ahead to get information about tickets.
