Spring break is coming! Are you thinking about heading out to the parks during your much-needed time off? Toyota of Orlando can help. Whether you’re finding family fun at Magic Kingdom, eating around the world at Epcot, or making magic at Islands of Adventure, these hacks will help you make the most of your time at these popular parks. Let’s take a closer look!
Hack #1: Get there early and head straight to the back. If you can arrive at the park a few minutes before the gates open, you won’t have long lines to contend with to get in and then you can head straight to the back where the foot traffic is sparse. You’ll beat the crowds as people tend to head toward rides and attractions near the front of the park first, as they pass them.
Hack #2: Bring a water bottle. All of the theme parks here in Orlando have water fountains, so if you don’t feel like shelling out big bucks every time you get thirsty, just refill your own bottle! Additionally, Disney restaurants will give you a glass of ice water for free if you ask. If soda is more your thing, consider getting a drink pass for the day – they really do pay off if you put them to use.
Hack #3: Buy a cooler and rent a locker. Food at the parks can add up FAST. Pack a cooler with lunch and some snacks and save your money for souvenirs you can actually take home with you (but maybe set aside a few bucks for a butterbeer or a Mickey ice cream pop).
Hack #4: Bring ponchos. If you don’t have an annual pass to the parks, then you want to make the most of your day ticket. Florida is notorious for surprise showers, especially in the spring and summer, so bring ponchos and don’t let the rain slow you down at all (or the water rides!). If you’re visiting the parks in the summer, try to leave indoor attractions for the afternoon so you’ll have a dry place to hang out when the storms roll through.
Hack #5: Label your kids. Write your name and number on the tongue of their shoes, as a temporary tattoo on their wrist, or on a piece of paper to keep in their pocket in case they get lost. Also, always have a designated meeting spot picked AHEAD of time in case the group splits up.
Hack #6: Prep your cell phones. Bring ziploc bags to protect your phones in your pockets from sweat, rain, and water rides, and also don’t forget to bring a portable charger to give you a little extra juice when you need it. You don’t want to miss out on family selfie opportunities because of a dead phone!
Hack #7: Get social! Follow your favorite theme parks on social media to learn more about special discounts, shows, and other ways to save money and have fun while you’re there!
From our family to yours, have a fantastic spring break and enjoy the parks!
