Are you looking for a fun and family-friendly way to ring in the new year? Or maybe you want a hot spot where you can check out the best fireworks in town. Either way, there’s plenty going on this year in Central Florida, and our Orlando Toyota dealership has taken the time to list out some of our favorite spots to bring in 2017!
Where will you ring in 2017 this year?
If you’re looking for family-friendly options, the theme parks are always a solid bet. Magic Kingdom is open New Year’s Eve and is hosting “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks over Cinderella’s castle (and we all know how amazing the Disney fireworks shows are). Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are both open until 1am, and Epcot is hosting a variety of DJs and live bands to bring in 2017 alongside “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” fireworks shows. You can also check out Disney Springs for more family-friendly activities. LegoLand will be “dropping the ball” at 7pm, and SeaWorld will have live music and fireworks as well.
Looking for a reason to bust out your party clothes? There are tons of celebrations that’ll give you an excuse to get gussied up. Head to a party at Blue Martini on International Drive with live music and an open bar (don’t forget to line up an Uber!), or visit One80 Lounge at the top of the Amway Center for a spectacular view of downtown Orlando while you sip cocktails. You can also check out the New Year’s Eve Gala at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park, which features live music, and open bar, a champagne toast, and a special dining experience.
Orlando has New Year’s Eve celebrations for everyone!
Need more than fireworks and cocktails to entertain yourself on New Year’s Eve? Head over to Drip – they’re hosting a New Year’s Eve Experience that showcases a theatrical show along with glitter, confetti, champagne, and more. You can also paint your own t-shirts and participate in an interactive paint shower! If entertainment is the name of your game, you might also check out Dave and Buster’s on International Drive. There you’ll be able to fill up at a special buffet and hit the games, as well as watch the college playoff games while waiting for the final countdown!
Regardless of where you spend your New Year’s Eve, be sure to do it safely. Always have a designated driver, Uber, or cab lined up to get you to and from your destinations safely. It’s NEVER OK to get behind the wheel of a car if you’ve been drinking, even just a little bit.
Additionally, if you’re behind the wheel tomorrow night use your best defensive driving skills – there will be more traffic and unfortunately, more drunk drivers out on the road.
From our family to yours, happy new year – and here’s to an incredible 2017!
