Halloween is just ten days away! Are you in the Halloween spirit yet? If not, our Orlando Toyota dealership has suggestions on how you can get pumped up about the big night. From pumpkin carving to haunted houses to the best Halloween music to jam out to in your car, we’ve got the tips you need to get seriously spooky!
Tip #1: Get carving. There are tons of pumpkin patches all over Central Florida! Load up and head out to pick the perfect pumpkin (or pumpkins), and don’t forget to pick up a carving kit on your way home. These kits come with stencils and tools so you can create a professional-looking jack-o-lantern without the frustration… and while you’re at it, remember to grab a few candles or LED lights to put inside and get your malevolent masterpiece illuminated out on the front porch!
Find a haunted house to mix some frightful fun into your weekend!
Tip #2: Find a spooktacular celebration to hit! If you’ve got little ones in tow, you might want to check out a more low-key and kid-friendly celebration, like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or SeaWorld’s Spooktacular. If you’re looking for a more terrorific time, then head over to Universal Studios for Halloween Horror Nights or Busch Gardens for Howl-O-Scream! And don’t forget, there are tons of local haunted houses right here in Central Florida if you’re on a budget or a time constraint. Check out the Petrified Forest in Maitland, or a Haunting at Old Town in Kissimmee!
Tip #3: Queue up a playlist of spooky tunes! Spotify has a great selection of Halloween playlists, whether you want music or just spooky sounds to set the tone for a Halloween party. Here are a few of our favorite Halloween jams you might want to add to the playlist:
- Thriller by Michael Jackson
- Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr.
- I Put a Spell On You by Bette Midler
- This is Halloween from Nightmare Before Christmas
- Monster Mash by Bobby “Boris” Pickett
Just to give you a few ideas to get your list started!
Tip #4: Plan your costumes! Have you decided what creepy costume you’ll be sporting on the big night? Now’s the time to shop – remember, if you head to the costume store the weekend before Halloween, they’re likely to be out of a lot of what you need. Start shopping now, and check out Pinterest for cool DIY ideas. This is also a great time to plan your trick-or-treating route or decide which downtown celebrations you’re going to check out before the evening ends!
Queue up your list of scary movies and turn off the lights to get into the Halloween spirit!
Tip #5: Watch scary movies. Netflix has a ton of scary movies for views of all ages and you can always rent off of Amazon, so grab your remote and get settled in with popcorn and a bag of candy! Here are some of our top picks:
- Hocus Pocus
- Amityville Horror
- Nightmare Before Christmas
- The Exorcist
- Monster House
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Are you in the spooky spirit yet? From our family to yours, have a happy and safe Halloween!
