Do you have big plans this weekend? If you’re still trying to figure out what to do with your two days off, then Toyota of Orlando can help! There’s a ton of fun going on in the City Beautiful this weekend, and we’ve got the scoop on some events you might want to check out. Let’s get started!
Orlando Home and Garden Show: The annual Orlando Home and Garden Show takes place this weekend at the Orange County Convention Center! If you’re into home improvement or you’re building a home and want a little inspiration, you definitely don’t want to miss this event. You’ll be able to wander thousands of square feet of exhibits to get ideas for both the inside and outside of your home. We’re talking flooring, bathrooms, kitchens, lighting, paint, decks and pools, entertainment, landscaping, and more! Not only that, you’ll also have the chance to chat with hundreds of builders, contractors, and artists who have booths set up there. If you’re bringing the family, there’s a kid’s zone where you can leave the little ones for entertainment that’s more their speed. There’s even a pet zone where you can get tips on training your four-legged friends! Tickets are available online for just $9 a person, and the show takes place this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!
Mount Dora Art Stroll: The weather is finally cooling down a little so why not get outside and take advantage of it? The monthly Mount Dora Art Stroll is this weekend in the quaint and quiet town of Mount Dora. It takes place in the quaint downtown area, and you’ll be able to hit the sidewalks and see great local artists exhibiting their best work in mediums from painting to jewelry! The art stroll takes place tonight, Friday, from 6pm to 8pm, and it’s free! No tickets are needed. On top of checking out amazingly talented local artists, you’ll also see live music and be able to sample great local food and wine from Mount Dora vendors. There’s even free admission to the Modernism Museum during the stroll hours!
Pine Street UCF Block Party: UCF kicked off their football season this year with a big win against South Carolina, and they’ll be taking on the Michigan Wolverines this weekend! The game is an away game, so unless you’re heading out of town you might not have any plans in mind… so why not check out the Pine Street UCF Block Party on Saturday? The Basement, the Attic, and Crow and Co. will be hosting a giant block party to give you a place to cheer on the Knights. The game kicks off at noon, so the gates will open at 11am, and there’s no cover charge. Pine Street will be completely blocked off from Magnolia Street to Court Avenue, and there will be giant LED screens set up to view the game, as well as speakers, outside bars, and more. The first 250 people admitted get a limited-edition UCF tee. Don’t forget your designated driver, or download the Uber app to get home safely!
Have a great weekend… drive safe, party responsibly, and we’ll see you on Monday!
