4th of July weekend is rapidly approaching – have you decided where you’re going to scout out fireworks yet? Central Florida is going to be hosting some seriously impressive celebrations for 2016, and our Orlando Toyota dealership has the scoop to get you in the know so you can start planning your weekend now! Take a look at some of the Independence Day celebrations going on throughout the area!
Port Canaveral: (July 3) Want to view pyrotechnics over the water? Head out to Port Canaveral for Fireworks over the Harbor! Fireworks kick off at 9pm, and you can head down to the Cove for delicious food and drinks while you wait. If you can head over to the Cape early, rent a charter boat and get out on the water, and when the sun sets there’s always dancing, DJs, and live music to keep you busy! You can even camp at Port Canaveral if you have time over the weekend. Don’t miss their 4th of July celebration!
Baldwin Park Independence Day Bash: (July 3) Looking for something a little closer to home that’s more family-friendly? Check out the Baldwin Park Independence Day Bash! You can set up camp in Harbor Park near the lakeshore and get your picnic on; there are also a ton of restaurants and bars to explore within walking distance while you wait for the big show to start at 9:30pm. However, save your appetite – numerous vendors will be set up on the closed-down streets, and live DJs will be there playing music while you check things out beginning at 5:30!
Red Hot and Boom: (July 3) Check out some of the hottest acts in music today – this year’s Red Hot and Boom in Altamonte Springs will feature artists like Katelyn Jae, Ben Rector, and Frequency, and you can set up tents and spend the day listening to excellent music AND checking out local food vendors! You can even bring a cooler of your own eats if you’d like, and the event kicks off at 4pm. Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks – admission is free!
Fireworks at the Fountain: (July 4) Why not view fireworks over beautiful Lake Eola? You can set up shop with a blanket and picnic that afternoon and take in the scenery; there will also be plenty of food vendors there, and you can always grab grub at Relax Grill, Spice, World of Beer, and other restaurants within easy walking distance. There will also be live entertainment, activities, and games to keep the kids occupied, and admission is free!
July 4th Celebration, Kissimmee: (July 4) Last year over 45,000 people flocked to this celebration, so you know it’s good stuff! You’ll find live music and karaoke in addition to bingo, games, activities, a food festival, and even a waterski show during the day followed by an unbelievable fireworks show! The event kicks off at 5pm and admission is free- get there early to get the best of the best!
