Did you know that Orlando has over 20 different dog-friendly parks? Now that summer is here, it’s time to get outside with your four-legged friends and see what kind of fun you can find! Our Orlando Toyota dealership consulted with Mr. Toyota on this one, and he listed out some of his FAVORITE dog-friendly spots to visit in our fair city, so let’s get started!
Orlando dog parks can make your summer better than ever!
Lake Baldwin Dog Park: Located right off of Lake Baldwin, this dog park is a perfect Orlando spot if you want your four-legged friend to be able to take a swim and cool off! It’s an off-leash park, so as soon as you get in the gates you can unclip your dog and set them free. You’ll find plenty of shade with the huge trees that grow in the park, as well as covered and uncovered picnic tables for the humans to utilize. Best of all, your pup can fetch his favorite stick right out of the water! There’s a long stretch of sand for the dogs to run, as well as the beautiful Lake Baldwin for them to swim in. Lake Baldwin doesn’t allow speedboats, either, so feel free to put a little weight behind that tennis ball arm! There’s even a hose if you want to rinse Fido off before you put him back in the car. Head over to Baldwin Park!
Meadow Woods Dog Park: Worried about your small dog not being able to keep up with the larger pack? In this Orlando dog park, there’s a separate fenced off section for your smaller four-legged friends to play! You’ll also have doggy water fountains so they can stay hydrated, as well as shade and even picnic tables. Need to clean up your pup before you take him home? Use the convenient dog bathing station in the facility. Additionally, there’s a nature walk that goes around the lake if you and Fido want to take a break and go green (and get your cardio in!). Head over to Meadow Woods Dog Park and don’t forget your kiddie pools – you can fill them up at the wash station to let your four-legged pals cool off!

Barber Dog Park: If you want to get a little exercise into your pup’s day, this is definitely the Orlando dog park for the job! It has an obstacle course including tunnels and bridges to test your dog’s dexterity, as well as plenty of space to run. Additionally, crowd control is a thing – each owner is only allowed two dogs inside the park, and puppies under four months aren’t allowed (which is good because they need to be vaccinated before playing!). This incredible dog park is one of the best in Orlando!
Why not take your four-legged best friend out and about this weekend? This is only a small sampling of the dog-friendly parks in Orlando, so get exploring to check out all the others. And drop us a line to let Mr. Toyota know what you think!
