We’ve got a great selection of Orlando used cars for sale here at our Toyota dealership; we’re pretty proud to offer you not only used Toyota cars, but also used Honda, used Nissan, used Ford, and more. Plus, we offer high-quality options that a lot of times are just as fitting as a new car for your drive time needs. However, we know that a lot of drivers like to DIY their car to make it even more personalized. We’ve got some DIY car hacks for your preowned car that we’ve gathered up from our techs and sales people (and Pinterest, of course) – take a look to see how YOU can DIY your used Toyota in Orlando into whatever you want!
Personalize your used car with these hacks!
DIY car hack #1: Want to get the interior of your Orlando used car smelling fresh and clean again? Use dryer sheets! You can place them under the hood – ask our Orlando Toyota Service techs where it’s safe to anchor them so it’s not a fire risk. This will actually help deter mice from getting into the engine bay if you’re storing your car in a garage in cold weather, too! You can also make your own air freshener jars for the interior of your car. Fill a mason jar with some baking soda and five drops of your favorite essential oil, and put a piece of fabric over the top instead of the lid. Voila!
DIY car hack #2: Protect your seats from kids and pets and give the interior a hot new look! You can buy or make car seat covers and a pet seat hammock – you simply buy the fabric (laminated fabric is always a good idea – it’ll repel stains and moisture better!), measure it out, and then attach velcro so you can hook it to the seat headrests on your Orlando used car! You can even sew fabric to the tops of your floor mats if you really want to take the wow factor to a new level.
DIY car hack #3: Is your affordable used car lacking a rear entertainment center? Rig up an iPad to get the job done when it comes to entertaining backseat passengers! You can use a piece of stiff cardboard and some elastic to attach an iPad to the back of the front seat headrest – be sure that it’s attached snugly so you don’t run the risk of shattering your screen when you hit a speed bump! You can even use a large sandwich bag and some string if you’re in a pinch!

DIY car hack #4: Get rid of scratches in leather! You can try using warm water and a soft cloth to rub out scratches in the seats of your used car; if that doesn’t work, try olive oil or Old English oil). Let it soak in for a few minutes and then wipe clean!
