That’s why we have Orlando Toyota safety tips to help you make the most of your time on the road while still keeping yourself and your passengers safe… as well as respecting pedestrians and other drivers out on the town!
Get tips on safely hitting the road in your Orlando Toyota
Our first Orlando Toyota safety tip for Halloween? Be aware of your surroundings! A lot of Halloween festivities take place in the evening, so your visibility is already taken down a notch in the dim light. Be sure to use your headlights, and put away your phone or iPod and focus on the road in front of you. Also be sure to use windshield wipers to enhance your visibility if it happens to be raining out. You’ll need to devote your concentration to what you’re doing behind the wheel! You never know when a child or pet is going to dart out into the path of your new Orlando Toyota, so minimize distractions and be proactive about your safety.
Be more aware of pedestrians when you hit the road on Halloween in your Toyota. There will be a lot more of them out on the sidewalks, especially on the big day itself! Be on the lookout for trick-or-treaters crossing the street, and take a little extra time at crosswalks and intersections to be sure they’re clear before you drive through. This is also important to remember in areas where a lot of pedestrians will be hitting the bars – their judgment may be impaired, so be mindful of what’s in your path as you navigate the streets!
Obey the speed limits and be sure to follow the rules of traffic, especially when it comes to using your turn signals. These not only help indicate to other drivers what your intentions are, but also help communicate to pedestrians where you’re headed so they can react accordingly. Be sure to come to a full stop at stop signs and look both ways, and remember to leave plenty of room for braking, especially if you plan to pull over to let your little trick-or-treaters out!
Make this Halloween a safe one with Toyota of Orlando tips!
Have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to drinking and driving. Other drivers may not take this rule so seriously, and this merely compounds the reason why you wouldn’t want to get behind the wheel unless you’re completely sober! If you’re going to consume alcohol, find a safe place to park your Orlando Toyota and get a ride home, or just take a cab. You should NEVER operate your Toyota under the influence of alcohol – period!
