Orlando oil changes don’t have to be stressful or expensive!
Getting oil changes in Orlando is probably one of the most important elements in your overall car maintenance. Oil keeps your engine lubricated and cool, and if it isn’t changed regularly, it can lead to extremely expensive and damaging issues – we’re talking your engine seizing up and dying. Trust us, your wallet will thank you and so will your ride if you stick to a routine schedule for this essential auto service! Let’s get started breaking down the different types of engine oil!
What type of engine oil should you be using?
Conventional oil: This is the type of motor oil that you would typically get when you bring your car in for a cheap oil change at our Toyota Service Center. It’s the most commonly used one because it works in almost all cars. The only drawbacks? It doesn’t last quite as long as synthetic oil (we’ll get to that), and it doesn’t withstand temperature fluctuations too well. We don’t have to worry about extremely cold weather down here in Central Florida, but if you’re headed north this winter you may want to choose a different oil!
Synthetic oil: Synthetic oil is artificial (as opposed to non-artificial conventional oil). It’s more expensive than conventional motor oil, but if you choose to put it in your car during a routine oil change you’ll find it definitely has its perks. It’s longer-lasting (it can go up to three times as long as conventional oil) and gives you a better performance; additionally, it leaves less deposits behind for a cleaner engine!
Synthetic blend oil: Synthetic blend is exactly what it sounds like – it’s a blend of synthetic and conventional motor oils. It’s bit cheaper than going full synthetic, but it doesn’t provide you with the full performance effects you’ll notice when you use synthetic oil! However, if you’re looking to save some bucks, it may be a good choice to amp up your ride a bit!
