We know at our Toyota Service Center in Orlando that bringing your car in for auto service can be a little unnerving. You probably don’t have a whole lot of knowledge about what’s going on under the hood, so you’re worried that you might be getting taken advantage of by your technicians. At our Toyota Service Center, we have trained Toyota technicians working on your car so you know you’re in the best of hands, but we also wanted to help ease your mind a little! In our opinion, the best way to tackle uncertainty is to arm yourself with knowledge. Today, we’re going to take a look at when and why you might need new auto tires in Orlando!
How do you know if you should replace your Orlando auto tires?
We know – you get that feeling of dread when your technician tells you it’s time for new auto tires. It means time in the service center, and it also can mean a more expensive visit than you’re used to (although we do offer exceptional Orlando auto service specials to make things more affordable for you). However, to give you a little extra peace of mind, we sat down with our Toyota technicians so we could compile a list of signs that you are in need of new auto tires for your Toyota – take a closer look!
Sign #1: Your tires are losing tread depth. Take a peek at your auto tires – how does the tread look? You should be able to see it clearly, and it should never fall below 1/16 of a millimeter. Basically, you can take a penny and stick it in the tread so Abraham Lincoln’s head is facing down. If you can see his whole head, then you don’t have enough tread left on your tires to have a safe drive time and you need to get them replaced!
Sign #2: Bubbles on the tire. If you see weird bulges or bubbles on your auto tires, you’re probably in danger of a blowout, which can lead to an accident. These bulges need to be dealt with as quickly as possible, so bring your car into our Toyota Service Center as quickly as you can to get them replaced. Better safe than sorry – you can never predict when a bubble or blister will lead to a blowout!
Sign #3: Do you feel a lot of vibration when you hit the road? It’s normal to feel a little, especially if you’re driving on an uneven surface. However, if you’re feeling more vibration than normal it may be time for a visit to our Toyota Service Center. Excessive vibration can indicate unbalanced or unaligned tires (which can be easily fixed), but it can also mean an internal problem that calls for your auto tires in Orlando to be replaced. Either way, you’re in danger of damaging your car or having a blowout if you don’t address the problem!
