Here at Toyota of Orlando, we’re well aware of which new Toyota in Central Florida are our best-sellers. The 2013 Toyota Corolla is popular because it’s sporty and affordable (and 2014 will bring a brand new model to the table, which will surely lead to an even bigger demand for this stylish sedan). The new Toyota Camry is a fan favorite because of its classic style and reliable and impressive performance. Our new Toyota trucks have a big following because they’re both durable and styled, and our customers can’t seem to get enough of the 2013 Toyota RAV4 and its sleek redesign. One of our popular favorites? The 2013 Toyota Prius in Orlando!
Why is the Orlando Toyota Prius so popular?
We’re not the only ones who hold the new Toyota Prius in high esteem – according to recent data pulled by the California New Car Dealers Association (CNCDA), this incredible new Toyota hybrid is still the most popular ride for Californians! During the first six months of 2013, over 33,000 of these hybrids were sold, and one in every five vehicles sold in the Golden state is a new Toyota Prius. It’s not just popular in California, though – around 120,000 of these new Toyota hybrids were sold nationwide from January – June this year alone!
What makes it so popular? We could go on for days – it offers phenomenal fuel efficiency, an eco-sensitive performance, up-to-the-second technology, and more. Plus, it’s style and utility rolled into one, making it perfect for your everyday driving, as well as longer commutes. No matter what you’re looking for in a vehicle, you can probably find one member of the Orlando Toyota Prius family that can accommodate!
What will the 4th generation of this new Toyota hybrid in Orlando have to offer?
We’re excited for what 2015 brings to the table – it’s rumored that this is when the 4th generation model of this new Toyota hybrid will be released, which means an exciting redesign and upgrades! Here are some of the rumors we’ve heard thus far:
- A more powerful electric motor will be integrated into mechanics under the hood, which improves horsepower and overall performance. You’ll find an amped up powertrain and a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine to boot.
- The 2015 model of the popular Toyota Prius will still use the nickel-metal-hydride battery you’ll find in the design now, but it could soon switch to a lithium-ion battery – Toyota is currently working on research in that field and hopes to implement it in some of their upcoming models.
- We’ve heard that the new model of this Orlando Toyota hybrid will boast a more lightweight design, as well as low-resistance rolling tires. Both of these elements help to enhance fuel efficiency, as does the aerodynamic design for which the car is known. This means that the current 51 mpg in the city and 48 mpg on the highway could be bumped up even higher!
We can’t wait to see what the 2015 model will bring to the table, and we bet you’re excited too!
