Just when you thought the Toyota Prius in Orlando couldn’t get any more technologically inclined, Toyota throws in another feature that proves you wrong – wireless charging for your phone! Qi wireless charging was a feature previously only found in the 2013 Toyota Avalon, but Toyota recently announced that the 2014 model of the popular Toyota Prius hybrid will include this feature as well. We’re pretty excited at our Orlando Toyota dealership to be able to offer this convenient feature to our customers, especially those who like new vehicle options with tons of technology. Let’s take a closer look at exactly what Qi wireless charging is and how it’ll affect your driving experience when you get behind the wheel!
2014 Toyota Prius in Orlando makes life that much easier
When the 2014 Toyota Prius in Orlando arrives, it’ll have a special console tray that was specifically designed for a Qi wireless charging pad. The pad allows you to simply drop your smart phone on it and voila – it’s charging! Qi wireless charging uses inductive electrical power transfer to charge your devices. That’s the technical way of saying you lay your device on the pad and it uses induction to charge it to full battery quickly and efficiently. It’s incredibly simply, convenient, and definitely hassle-free; think about not having to worry whether or not you have a charging cord in your vehicle! The technology went into production back in 2008, and it’s been improved and perfected since then, so much that it’s now going to be available in new vehicles! We can’t wait to see which other new Toyota vehicles get this incredible element!
What other technology is available in the new Toyota Prius?
What other incredible technology will you find in the Orlando Toyota Prius? Its hybrid system, for one. This innovative vehicle utilizes Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive System to provide its renowned fuel efficiency and eco-sensitive performance. It also has amazing technological features and options such as:
- A power moonroof that has a Solar-Powered Ventilation System incorporated into it – this helps to keep cool and fresh air moving throughout your car when you’re not in it. It senses when the temp inside the vehicle gets above 68 degrees, and an electric fan helps to pull air in so you’re comfortable when you climb back behind the wheel!
- A Remote Air Conditioning System – how cool is that, especially in blazing Central Florida summers? This unique system can run for up to three minutes before you climb into the car, which can make a drastic difference in the interior temperatures.
- Toyota’s Entune – this is a system of multimedia apps. You can check weather, traffic conditions, stocks, or even the score of the game, in addition to cool things like booking a table for dinner and snagging some movie tickets before you reach the theater. You can also enjoy tons of radio stations through Pandora and IHeartRadio!
- Premium HDD Navigation – not only will you always know where you’re at, you’ll also be able to enjoy a seven-inch touchscreen display (that has split-screen capabilities) and an integrated backup camera.
