2006 – Toyota Highlander hybrid released
2007 – Toyota Camry named Car Of The Year & Toyota Tundra named Truck Of The Year by Motor Trend
2008 – Toyota’s sales surpassed General Motors, making Toyota number one in the world | Worldwide Prius sales top 1 million mark
2009 – Kept title of #1 in global sales
2010 – Another year of beating all other auto manufacturers for the #1 spot in sales.
2011 – Toyota of Orlando became #1 Volume dealer in the Orlando market.*
2012 – Toyota once again beat GM for the #1 spot of most global sales.
Toyota’s Great History Is Moving Forward To A Better Future
Toyota is currently working a few projects that may make driving cars in the future much more interesting. There are 8 concept cars Toyota has shown including the A-BAT which is a modern compact pickup truck that offers a sleek exterior, solar panels on the dash to charge the navigation system and seating for four.Another concept car that Toyota is working hard to release is the FT-HS, which some are calling the Toyota Celica. Whether or not Toyota will be bringing back the Celica is pure gossip, no one knows! Toyota keeps things well under wraps. The FT-HS is clearly already causing a stir of emotion with Toyota enthusiasts. This particular concept car is a mid-priced sports car that combines hybrid technology with a sports car experience. One more concept car that you may see come to life is the Hyrbid X. The Hybrid X is the perfect match for modern families looking for an environmentally friendly car with an innovative way of providing comfort.
